Delete your Roost account

Roost Alarm is a product of Ponuz, LLC.

Last updated August 19, 2026 · effective August 19, 2026

Roost is published by Ponuz, LLC. This page explains how to delete your Roost account and everything associated with it, what we erase, and what we are required to keep. You do not need the app installed to make the request.

Email a deletion request

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route, and it completes immediately. It is available to every signed-in user; no request or waiting period is involved.

  • Open Roost and sign in.
  • Go to the Profile tab and scroll to the bottom.
  • Under "Account actions", tap "Delete account".
  • Read the confirmation, then tap "Delete everything".

Option 2 — Request deletion without the app

If you have already uninstalled Roost, changed device, or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

  • Write to contact@ponuz.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
  • Send it from the email address registered to your Roost account. We use that to verify the request, and we will ask you to confirm ownership before we delete anything.
  • We complete verified requests within 30 days, and we email you when the deletion is done.

We will never ask you for your password, a payment card, or a verification code from another service in order to process a deletion request.

What we delete

Both routes remove the same thing: your account and the data tied to it, permanently, from our active systems.

  • Your authentication account, including the email address and any Apple or Google sign-in link.
  • Your synced profile: first name, last name, username and profile photo.
  • Your onboarding answers and wake-up plan.
  • Your alarms and their settings.
  • Your alarm and challenge history, including every recorded morning.
  • Your achievements, streaks and long-term statistics.
  • The active subscription entitlement record that tells your devices what you have access to.

Challenge photos are not on this list because they are never stored. A photo challenge is sent for verification, answered with a single pass-or-fail result, and discarded; there is nothing left to delete.

What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of data outlives the account, either because the law requires it or because it is no longer linked to you.

  • Store transaction records and signed subscription webhooks from Apple and Google, retained for tax, accounting, audit and anti-fraud obligations.
  • Crash and error diagnostics collected by Sentry, retained for the period configured on our Sentry project. These are collected without a Roost user ID, so account deletion cannot locate them automatically — write to us with details if you want a specific report investigated.
  • Residual copies inside encrypted backups, purged within 30 days as part of our standard backup rotation.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription

Roost Premium is billed by Apple or Google, not by Ponuz, and we cannot cancel it on your behalf. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in your Apple ID settings or in Google Play before or after deleting your account — otherwise the store keeps charging you for an account that no longer exists.
